Today is Stephen's birthday. We bought him The Orange Box for his present. He got up really early to install it this morning. It's got some great games on it.
Dad had a day off from work so Mum, Dad and I went to the shops to go find some shoes for work. They didn't have any at Kingway so we ended up going to Mirrabooka where I found a pair.
Afterwards, we went to The Cake Factory in Malaga to pick up Stephen's birthday cake. It was a passionfruit cheesecake with different fruits and a yellow jelly on top. We also picked up on of their seconds tray, which had a muffin, a cupcake and a mini cheesecake.
We went home and I played SA:MP to make some more money.
I went on Messenger for a while and talked to Chantelle.
Nanna came over for dinner. Mum made lasagna and salad, with coleslaw, potato salad and garlic bread on the side. About an hour later we had the cake. We sang Stephen Happy Birthday and someone must have been singing off key because Missy started to bark wildly. It was so funny because she has never done that before. This cheesecake was huge. The five of us only ate about a quarter of it - least we will have cheesecake for awhile (Still prefer the one I had for my birthday from The Cheesecake Shop). ;)

Rigged & Pwned
National Bingo Night is rigged.
There is such a slim chance that you are going to win. The show was recorded weeks ago. THEN they put the games cards you can win onto the net. They have already selected which cards are going to win. There is no real lucky and chance. Besides, the show is so boring and dragged out. Also, how come we don't see (properly) the ball coming out of the sphere. It goes behind where the girl is standing like there is something to hide. The show is going to fail and I hope it does.
John Howard gets pwned by Kevin Rudd
The Great Debate was on today. On the 60 Minutes version, they show this graph and when they talk, the arrow goes up and down. Obviously, the people didn't like what John Howard was saying because his arrow was mostly in the negative section whilst Kevin Rudd had his at the top of the positive section. I hope you become our new Prime Minister Mr Rudd. Howard should go.
Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader
must also be rigged. Seriously, there are some questions that a 5th grader would not know. They must be allowed to study or be given the answers. If not that, why isn't that the answers of the children not shown all the time. They must be getting questions wrong. Rove also said that the questions don't necessarily get harder. They do. Why do people leave the 1st grade questions until last? When they get to them, they are hard. I guess getting the upper grades questions out of the way first would mean an easier shot at winning. Imagine what would happen if these questions were left until last. If the questions do get harder and they choose a harder grade, people will fail.

The Private Game
Listening to Conteo by Don Omar
We did part of our Chemistry lab today. We were reacting alcohols with acidified potassium chromate. The chemicals we reacted smelt like permanate marker. We will be continuing with our experiments tomorrow where we will be reacting the alcohols with sodium .
In English, we watched the rest of Ten Canoes which didn't end properly. We were then given questions, one which we had to choose to work on with a group. The question we chose was how western values are similar to the values presented in the film.
Khue and I were the only people in Art today. We have no idea why Blair wasn't there, but Joseph said that she was sick. Anyway, we had to draw designs for our final pieces of jewellery. I didn't do much because I was talking quite a bit, but also because I was looking through beading magazines. Some of the most beautiful beaded things I have seen were in there, one of them being a beaded shoe which was made into a picture of people.
In Applicable we moved onto the next chapter. The whole time was just spent with us looking at the notes and writing down examples.
I had Careers next and I spent my time working through my Applicable homework while everyone around me were playing games or just talking and I wasn't distracted for once. I managed to get quite a bit of it done.
At lunch, it was nice and quiet. A majority of the school went to see the pastor who came from America. I wanted to have a private game of 13, where only certain people play and they play certain rules. I don't like the rules that most people play so playing with a group of people you like to play with and playing the same rules makes the games a lot better. So Lauren, Emily, Diem and I played. Diem went off to study Chemistry and English and Martin took her place.
In Human Biology we moved onto the next chapter for the first period and for the second we got our marks back for our assignment and the marks back for the multiple choice in the test. We also watched some more of Walking with Cavemen where we looked at the lives of Neanderthals.
I got my $25 voucher I won at Curtin today in the mail. I can use it to buy things at the bookshop.
Signing off.
