A Long Day

I went back to school this morning. I went to the Maths Office to return my exam folder and got a note to get my $10 back, while Stephen went to his form room to hand in a piece of work. I then went to look for Ms Perks to return the English book I borrowed, but could not find her. So I wrote her a note and had it put into her pigeon hole. Afterwards, I went to the Art Room to collect my visual art diary, then went to Beach Road Administration to get my $10.

We drove to the shops, to exchange a cookie jar that we bought from Priceline, because the seal had been broken. Stephen and I went to look at deodorant gift packs.

We then went to Princess Margaret Hospital, for Stephen to see a doctor about his eczema. We couldn't find parking, so Stephen and Mum got out of the car, while Dad and I went to look for a parking spot. We had to drive quite a long distance down Hay Street before we found one, then had to walk all the way back to the hospital. We were waiting there for over a hour and Dad had to go move the car, because the parking spot for only for another. While Stephen and I waited, we played 2 player snooker and pyramid on Stephen's phone. We finally were able to see the doctor. She was one that we hadn't seen before and she was very nice, though her favourite word must have been frustrated as she said it a lot. She even compared my skin to Stephen's. Dad finally came back from relocating the car (he had to ask a nurse where we were). Stephen was given a prescription for a variety of different creams. We went to the pharmacy located in the hospital, but then said it would be a 45 min wait before we got the creams.

Dad decided that we should go to lunch instead of waiting, so we went to The Pelican Sport Cafe. I have no idea what suburb it is in, but it is near the ocean and while you eat your meal, you can look over the water. The place was quite busy today. The water tasted like metal and the drinks were a rip off. Other than that, the meals were so delicious. I had cabonara, Dad had focaccia and Mum and Stephen had fish and chips.

We then had to drive aaaaaallll the way back to Princess Margaret Hospital. Mum got out of the car so we could find a parking spot. Mum caught up with the person who actual served us at the pharmacy, so they walked back together and got the creams quickly.

Off to Mirrabooka Library we went, so that I could return some of my books and pick up some of my reservations. While I did that, Stephen signed up for his own card.]

Afterwards, we went to the Ballajura Library, because Stephen had reserved some items. I ended signing up. I got out lots of CD's and The Sound of Music, which had the feature film disc missing.

At 6.20pm, we went back to school for my Presentation Night. Blair and Hadassah we in the car park so I talked to them for a while. Emily and Lauren came up to us, and I saw the program for the night. I came to school not knowing what award I was going to get and I ended up getting the Religion Award, for the second year in a row. I was so disappointed and annoyed. I ended up sitting next to Diem and we talked quite a bit... she also got the Religion Award as well as Discrete Mathematics award. The entertainment was OK (The Dance Team being the best item as always) and the night went pretty quick. Oh well, no more wearing the school uniform!

Wow...such a long day...

Reminded

When Dad called home today, he reminded me that I had to return my Applicable Exams back to school. A few ours later, Mrs Vivian called me to remind me to bring them back. How strange a day to be reminded...

Retail Therapy

My family and I went to Harbour Town today. Stephen needed new clothes and we were only going to go if both of us wanted to so we did.

I bought a dress from Valleygirl and a pair of black pants from AWOL.

We spent three hours there...

Dad and Stephen finished after a few hours and while Mum and I still shopped, they went to City West.

I got home and tried on my things again. Stephen also showed us what he bought; 4 shirts and denim three-quarter jeans.

Afterwards, I watched Bring It On.

Life of Crime, Books

Mum and I went shopping today.

We originally went to go get some library books I had reserved.

I bought a yellow top and two boob tubes.

I also bought a new purse, which nearly matched my red hand bag.

I couldn't believe how many people were going into Strandbags.

Mum and I got a blueberry muffin and juice for morning tea.

We then went to Suzanne Grae.

We spent so long in there, as Mum kept trying on different pieces of clothing, some of which I picked out and they suited her.

The ladies working in the shop we trying to remember where a certain piece of clothing was to be put in the store and even though it was first time there, I knew where it was supposed to go.

We then bought Chinese food for lunch.

We got to the library, where Mum got her own card (well a new one because her other one was too old) and I picked up my ten reserved items; CSI: and CSI: Miami books, James Bond books and two CSI: Season 4 DVD's.

I wandered around the library while Mum sat and read.

We ended up getting home and 2 o'clock only to realise that the security locking system on the DVD's hadn't been opened.

After dinner, Dad and I went back to the library, where the lady who had served me before recognised me, and opened the DVD's in two seconds.

Heat Wave

For the last year, I have been looking for the CSI: Miami books. Today when I went to the library, I found some. I originally went to go find Mermaids by Patty Dann (the book based on the movie Mermaids) but they didn't have it. I ended up getting out a CSI: and CSI:Miami book and a book that Mum wanted to get out. I signed up to get a library card as well.

After that, my family and I did some general shopping, including getting some digital photos put in.

I went home and I made some Potato and Leek soup, which I haven't made in such a long time, but with a different recipe. I had to blend it when it was cooked. I put it all in, put my hand over the cover and turned it on. The cover then came off and a little flew out. Mum then told me not to push on the lid because I am putting pressure on the motor. I told her we have to hold the cover. Mum turned it on and the cover flew off and soup went everywhere! It went all over Mum's clothes, the bench and the floor. Luckily for me, none got on me, but unfortunate for Mum, she burnt herself on the hot soup.

I started reading the CSI: Miami book called Heat Wave. The book is set before Speedle dies. The characters act exactly the same, way like on the show with Eric and Speedle joking around and Horatio acting like he usual does (the whole hands on hips, I'm in control gig) . What is strange though is that it is set when it is raining. It hardly ever rains on the show...

Just Another Day

Didn't do much today.

I woke up and watched some episodes of The Nanny on YouTube.

I read some more of Dateline, reading all of the dates on January and the starting of February which took me three hours to read. I read the book outside on a blanket on the lawn with my head in the shade and my legs in the sun. I was really nice.

A New Hobby, A New Read & A Horrible Restaurant

I have a new hobby now: origami. I used to do origami quite a bit when I was younger, but I have been looking on the Internet for some videos and copying them from there. I have mostly been making flowers, such as a lotus, but I tried to make an orchid but it didn't work. I have just been using computer paper to make them, which it too thick so I need to go find some proper origami paper to make it work better.

My graduation present was to choose any restaurant I wanted to go to for dinner. I chose to go to Muscats , a buffet at The Vines because I have been there was breakfast before and it was really good. Dinner was not. There was not a very large selection of foods for dinner and the hot meals were hard to get to because it had a very heavy cover on them and you could put it down anywhere or put your plate down to put food onto it. We had to go up in pairs so one of us could hold onto the cover while the other dished the food into their plate. The most disgusting thing was the flies. They were everywhere and going onto food. When my brother and I went up for dessert, there was a fly stuck on the cheesecake. It wasn't like this restaurant was cheap and it had very good service, such as the waiter pulling out the chairs for us to sit down and putting the napkins onto our laps. They just need something to cover the food from flies.

While we were driving to The Vines, I started reading a book that Dad bought from work called Dateline. It is basically an encyclopedia of events that happened on each day of the year. I was reading the chapter of the book about the origins of calendars. It is so interesting, because there are so many different calendars out there for the different religions and groups in the world, ruled by the moon or the sun. They have been changed so many times over such a long period of time, but much of it is very similar to the Gregorian calendar the majority of the world uses today.

The Shopping Trip

Blogger was down last night so I wasn't able to make a post...plus I was feeling sick.

Yesterday, a friend and I went shopping to Midland Gate. We took the train there, which was good. For the first time, I had to get my ticket checked. The guys had these little blue scanners which scanned our SmartCards. When we got there, we were so hungry so we went and got some donuts.

Our missions was to find summer dresses. We went into all the shops looking for some, but we didn't. My friend picked up some three quarter jeans, however, in Jay Jays which were this really nice colour. After we had finished, we didn't have the dresses we wanted, so we went back to the city to go to Harbour Town.

We had to take the Yellow Cat bus there. When we were near our stop, the bus was there. We tried to get across the road, but all these cars came along. The bus was even ten metres away from the bus stop and he had stopped at a red light and the driver would even lets us go on. That was very annoying.

I ended up finding a dress at Valleygirl. They were selling all their dresses for $10. I had picked up three and two of them didn't suit me, so I really hoped that the third would and it did. Unfortunately, my friend was unable to find a dress that suited her. :(

Human Biology - TEE Exam 4

Today was my last exam and I have to say that it was the easiest of the four. The paper was so short, that I could have left half an hour early, but I spend my time writing very thorough extended answers. Lots of people were leaving this exam early and I don't blame them.

Lauren drove Chantelle, Emily and I back to Emily's place to hang out. We snacked on chocolate and lollies while playing 13 and Jim Rummy and chatting about various things. Chantelle then left at about 2 or 3. I then taught Lauren and Emily how to play Euchre. After playing that, Lauren left and Emily and I sat around and chatted.

I got picked up at around 5 and Dad and I went to the shops. We ran into Kara, who works at the Bakery there.

A nice lazy day and NO MORE EXAMS AND SCHOOL!

The Unexpected Hot Day

Such a hot day today! Got to 37 or something. Our ducted air-conditioner is broken, so we had to use the old wall unit. I couldn't study for Human Biology properly because the heat was effecting my concentration, but I did quite a bit so I am happy.

I watched a bit of CSI: while eating my breakfast, Spiderman 2 during my lunch and a movie called Sabrina during my afternoon tea.

My drive to go becoming vegetarian is going very well. I actually want to go vegan, so I have cut out consuming milk as well. When I was feeding Missy the left-overs of the roast dinner, I felt this rush of guilt through me.

Mermaids

This morning I watched the movie mermaids. It is one of my favourite movies because it is so unusual. The movie is set in the 1950's in America. Charlotte Flax (Winona Ryder) is a 15 year old, very religious girl who wants to be a nun when she is older. She moves to her new town with her Mum, Rachel (Cher) and younger sister, Kate (Christine Ricci) and falls in love with the 26 year old Joe, the caretaker, who works at the convent (See how it is getting strange).

---SPOILERS AHEAD---

She kisses him (just kisses him) about half way through the movie, and she thinks that she has done a terrible sin and believes that she God has made her pregnant. As she can't tell her Mum she is 'pregnant', she runs away from home.
Later on in the movie, Charlotte gives Kate some alcohol, but then Kate goes on to drink some more without her knowing. She takes her sister to go see the bell tower near the lake where Joe is. Charlotte wants to go up, but Kate refuses, saying she will go and find some rocks (one of her hobbies). Charlotte and Joe make love in the bell tower while at the same time, without Charlotte realising, Kate has lost her balance will walking on rocks and fell into the lake. As Kate is drunk, even though she is a very good swimmer, she nearly drowns and dies.
Told you it was strange, but I love the storyline (yes, there is a lot more to it than about Charlotte's side of things. There is a lot about Rachel, because she is very strange too).

I did some study for Human Biology.

I then played some SA:MP.

Then I did some more study.

I watched CSI: while I ate my guilt free dinner.

That's about it!

Because I Care

Mum and I went down to the shops. We went to the ATM, and two guys were refilling it. A line had formed to use the teller machine and a lady came up and stood behind us. It appeared that she was in a hurry, because she was swearing and talking to herself, while giving the hint that she needed to go next, so Mum allowed her to go infront.

We were nearly late for my hair appointment. The hairdresser washed my hair and layered it. I haven't had a haircut since before the Ball, so when it was finished, I felt like a whole new person.

I have been doing a bit of html editing of my blog and added the banner. I have signed up for that pack. I watched a video of reasons why I should become and vegetarian, and what they were doing to the animals was gruesome. You and I are eating a product of that. For me, I am gradually changing to a vegetarian lifestyle and I love it. I don't feel so guilty anymore.

English - TEE Exam 3

Nothing really exciting happened for the English exam, other than in the viewing section, I thought I had to answer both questions without realising that there was an "or" separating them. I didn't know how to answer the second question, so I left it to the last thing I did. Lucky I did that or I wouldn't have seen the "or". So I just expanded my answer to question one. The rest of the exam was alright.

Yesterday I played the best game of SA:MP. For the first time, the guys were actually being nice to me. I was being shot by this guy and Xayal came along and helped me. I jumped onto his bike and drove around. I then fell off and he came back for me. I fell off again, but this time his friend (I can't remember his name so I will call him A) stopped and picked me up. They invited me to their gang and we drove around trying to kill people. We started to gang up on people, 3 vs 1, in particular this one guy, who started getting so ticked off and he started to call me bad names. This guy got to a stage where he made his own gang to try and kill us. It eventually worked.

I teleported to the ship and a guy from the other gang said, "Come on Emilia" (The ship is a safe spot) to try and come and kill me. I sent a message to my Xayal and A screaming HELP and they too teleported to the ship, where a giant shootout took place. I killed one of them but I had taken a beating, so I grabbed a bike and took off. The guy from the enemy gang then called me a n00b and shot me dead.

I respawned at the area near the water and this other guy came and started shooting at me. A turned up and tried to help me. We both got on a bike and started to drive off, but the guy knocked off A and left me on there. I wasn't going to let go, because this guy of course, didn't want me on the bike. So he tried to get me off. In the end, he backed the bike into the water and we both fell off. Xayal turned up and I screamed at him and A to go kill the guy. The guy is swimming in the water, me catching up behind him, with Xayal and A trying to shoot at him. He gets to dry land and a shootout begins. I climb out of the water and start shooting with the Deagle, when Xayal is shot dead. Then I'm shot dead. Then A is shot dead. All by this one guy! THE SHAME!!!

Overall, such a great game. I felt like I had a purpose and not just to be shot dead. I was part of team and we had such great fun, even though we got pwned that one time. The only thing I didn't like, was when they talked in French and I couldn't understand a word...

Applicable Mathematics - TEE Exam 2

I walked into the exam room and sat down at my spot and took out my pen. I didn't realise it, but after I few minutes I was holding that pen, so the supervisor came along and told me to put the pen down. It was like she couldn't trust me after that or something. She checked my notes and my statistical book twice and she kept walking past me to see what I was doing.

Not only was this making me edgy enough, but I think the person sitting in the row to the right of me was trying to cheat off me. The gap between our rows was smaller than the others so he would be able to read off my work easily. I was going back through the paper to find parts that I had missed and went to work on the left hand side of the page. As I am right-handed, I pushed the paper to the right so I could work on the left page. I had already done some work on the right page, and, I swear, in the corner of my eye, I could see him looking. So I pulled the page over to the left and put my elbow across it, writing on an angle I usually don't.

When I got out of the exam, I felt quite happy, even though I had missed out on two whole questions.

Today was the Melbourne Cup and Stephen picked the winning horse, Efficient; with it $14 something. Lucky bug.

A Quick Hello

I have been doing study for my Applicable Exam today for tomorrow. I have worked through one day and I've just started going through a second. I went and tried on my dresses today to see if they still fitted me. The dress from my year 11 River Cruise still fits me, but my black and white dress, the one I wore for John's birthday had to be readjusted again. I watched one whole episode of Days of our Lives, something I haven't done in quite a long time (I don't even really like the show) and went back to studying.

Well that's about it. I will be doing some more study after dinner and then watch my daily dose of Neighbours.

Talk about the exam tomorrow night, when I hope I will be more happy after it than the Chemistry one (I woke up today remembering a part of the exam and I am trying to remember if I did it or not (because I missed bits and pieces from the paper) and it is stressing me out!).

Deagle Distraction

Missy was walking around the garden, nose up in the air smelling something. She then pointed her paw towards the taller pencil pine tree and stood there looking up at it. She started to cry, like she was trying to tell us something. So I picked her up so she could get more height and she sniffed some more. We couldn't see anything so I put her down. A few more times after that she asked me to pick her up again so I did. After a few minutes, we walked back inside. Missy kept looking and sniffing up at that tree, but we still didn't see what she could.

I watched the movie Tea With Mussolini day, which starred Cher, Maggie Smith and Dame Judy Dench. It was such a good movie. It was about English and American people living in Italy in the time before World War II, but then Italy declared war on England and America got involved, so these these people were now the enemy and were moved out of their homes. I loved it!

I did some study for Applicable today but I felt very distracted because I could hear everybody in the house, because my room is not sound proof. Although I had these distractions, I learnt how to do certain questions that I didn't know how to do properly before. I will be able to study better tomorrow because the house will be nice and quiet with only Mum and I.

I played a bit of SA:MP today. There are people using shotguns and automatic weapons and I was killing them with a Deagle pistol. Yes I know they are very powerful, but in GTA it is different. I went up against guys with them as well and I still killed them. I have an alliance called MINUS and he helped me when I guy was trying to kill me by running me over with his car. There are some guys that don't respect the girls playing the game and just try to kill them because they think they can't play the game. Watch out...Emilia will, Emilia will, KILL YOU.

Chemistry - TEE Exam 1

I thought that after I did my Chemistry exam I would be happy, but I wasn't. I felt like I had done really bad in it, seeing as I couldn't do three out of five of the calculations. The multiple choice and short-answer were good, but I think they could have chosen a better extended answer. Once I had finished the exam, I felt so sick like I wanted to throw up.

It felt good to be home, eating my favourite soup, minestrone and playing GTA: San Andreas. I finally got the relationship between Carl and Helena up to 100% which unlocked the hideous rural outfit. I now have to start another relationship to unlock more clothes and other goodies.

I asked Dad to get me some small cheesecakes for me for my graduation gift. Dad went and bought one for each of the family, except for me, because I was allowed two. I got a passionfruit and a triple choc one. I ate the passionfruit one today and wasn't able to finish it as it was so filling.

Dad and I went to the shops. I went to go get some chocolate, which they didn't have any that I wanted and Dad went out and got The Day After Tomorrow for me from my free movie rental pass. Then we went to the supermarket and got some groceries. We went to school to pick Stephen, who took ages to get out, because he had been watching his teaching play in his band Fools Rush In for a one time exclusive show. After we picked him up, we went around to Emily's place to give her back her graphics calculator. I went back home and watched the the movie, forgetting all about the exam, until I started talking to Alyce about it.
