English - TEE Exam 3

Nothing really exciting happened for the English exam, other than in the viewing section, I thought I had to answer both questions without realising that there was an "or" separating them. I didn't know how to answer the second question, so I left it to the last thing I did. Lucky I did that or I wouldn't have seen the "or". So I just expanded my answer to question one. The rest of the exam was alright.

Yesterday I played the best game of SA:MP. For the first time, the guys were actually being nice to me. I was being shot by this guy and Xayal came along and helped me. I jumped onto his bike and drove around. I then fell off and he came back for me. I fell off again, but this time his friend (I can't remember his name so I will call him A) stopped and picked me up. They invited me to their gang and we drove around trying to kill people. We started to gang up on people, 3 vs 1, in particular this one guy, who started getting so ticked off and he started to call me bad names. This guy got to a stage where he made his own gang to try and kill us. It eventually worked.

I teleported to the ship and a guy from the other gang said, "Come on Emilia" (The ship is a safe spot) to try and come and kill me. I sent a message to my Xayal and A screaming HELP and they too teleported to the ship, where a giant shootout took place. I killed one of them but I had taken a beating, so I grabbed a bike and took off. The guy from the enemy gang then called me a n00b and shot me dead.

I respawned at the area near the water and this other guy came and started shooting at me. A turned up and tried to help me. We both got on a bike and started to drive off, but the guy knocked off A and left me on there. I wasn't going to let go, because this guy of course, didn't want me on the bike. So he tried to get me off. In the end, he backed the bike into the water and we both fell off. Xayal turned up and I screamed at him and A to go kill the guy. The guy is swimming in the water, me catching up behind him, with Xayal and A trying to shoot at him. He gets to dry land and a shootout begins. I climb out of the water and start shooting with the Deagle, when Xayal is shot dead. Then I'm shot dead. Then A is shot dead. All by this one guy! THE SHAME!!!

Overall, such a great game. I felt like I had a purpose and not just to be shot dead. I was part of team and we had such great fun, even though we got pwned that one time. The only thing I didn't like, was when they talked in French and I couldn't understand a word...

I was feeling so anxious for my Applicable mark. I felt so nervous because I had a feeling I was going to fail it. To see the 51% on my paper made me feel so happy. I had passed the course. Even though it is not the greatest grade in the world (C), it is the best that I can do because maths is my weakest area. I just hope that I will be able to pass my TEE and with great study, I should.

I had my Aunty and my Nanna come over today so that they could see the photos from their Esperance/Kalgoorlie holiday. Some of the pictures were so beautiful and they were taken with our camera!

After they left, my uncle, cousin, his girlfriend and their baby Joshua came over, so that they could do their tax returns on the internet and Dad could help them. Joshua had a keen interest in Missy and loved looking at her.

I just finished watching the James Bond film The World is Not Enough. It is one of my favourites next to GoldenEye. I love it how women are becoming more involved in the movie; not for their sex appeal but for their intelligence.

Salad Mix

I had my last Chemistry test today. I used a lot of my calculator notes to help me with the test, but overall, I think I did quite good.

In Art, we came up with designs to create our silver clay pendant. I used some paper clay and some designs from my folio to create an idea. If it looked any good, I drew it on my design sheet.

Emily asked me to help her put up the advertisements for our face painting stall for Mercy Day all around the school. I think I got a bit carried away with the sticky tape as i used quite a bit. We walked around the MLC and SLC area, to the gym and to the JLC area. When we finished, we walked back to religion, where we watched The Lion King.

In English, I had my last in-class essay (I won't be missing them!) and it wasn't very easy. I only wrote two pages and two lines of the third which is least amount I have written all year. It was so hard! I felt that I ran out of time because I still had so much to say.

I really felt like helping making dinner tonight for some reason, so I made a salad. I used a lettuce mix, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, mushrooms, cheese and Italian dressing. It was nice and colourful, plus it tasted great too.

Spectacular

Without any tests to worry about, she had the best day that she had had all week. Her dad decided to have a day off work, so she was driven to school, instead of the normal bus ride she has to take.

Her first lesson was a Chemistry laboratory. For the first time all year, she worked with Diem instead of working with her normal partner, Lauren, which was a nice change. The experiment involved mixing different substances together and watching them turn amazing colours, from a colourless solution to one that was bright blue, yellow to deep red or heating some of them to see them turn a bright pastel green. She tried to put some iron (III) chloride solid into a test tube but it all felt on the gauze mat that they had set on the bench. She tried again and the same thing happened. In the end, they noticed the test tube had a big hole in the bottom of it and they had a large pile of iron chloride to clean up.

After Human Biology, her year group had to walk down to the chapel to go to a mass. The mass was celebrating Catholic Education in Western Australia. Today, the mass was started off differently to how it usual does. A bowl of water was blessed, a candle was lit and salt was added to the water. The priest then went around the congregation and using a piece of branch, put it into the water and flicked it on them. When the priest came around to her side, a large water droplet hit her right in the middle of the forehead. She didn't wipe it off, but as she concentrated on the water droplet, she felt like the skin underneath it began to pulsate. As it began to evaporate, the feeling disappeared until she thought nothing of it.

Her two free periods actually involved work today. She had left the essay she had to write for English until these periods because she really couldn't be bothered after she had gone out to hand in her phone yesterday to get it fixed. She spent an hour on it and at the same time she listened to her iPod which helped to block out the people who talking around her. Afterwards, she played a few games of Jim Rummy with Diem, Chantelle joining in a short time later. She was impressed at how well Diem was playing, seeing as she got a very high score of 175 points. In the last fifteen minutes, they played 13 just before going off to lunch.

The highlight of her day came from her English lesson. The class received their essays they had done on Ten Canoes back and Ms perks told her class that she and Mina had received the highest marks in the class. From this comment, she had though that she would have got a level 6, but when the teacher handed it back to her, she was in shock. She had received a level 7F, which equates to 83%, a very hard mark mark to get and very few people have received a mark like it. Mina had received a level 7M, which is around 86%. She hadn't cared that Mina had got a better mark than her, she cared more that she had beaten her personal best...

Just Another Day...

Listening to Everywhen by Massive Attack

Not much happened today. In art, I drew designs of what I wanted my pendant to be and I also curled wire, which was quite fun.

My free Chemistry period involved us playing 13 for an hour instead of doing any work.

I got my in-class essay results back and I got a 6M (equivalent to 75%). That is the first level 6 I have received for an in-class essay and the first A grade I received all year in English. I was so suprised that I got such a high mark seeing as I thought I would have only got a level 5H at the most.

See? Not very interesting was it? Probably the most interesting part of the day was watching two more episodes of CSI: Miami and eatting cupcakes.
