Painting Doesn't Equal Relaxation

Listening to Figure.09 by Linkin Park

I have such a sore back. That's because I was painting the banners for three hours (there is a banner that has been designed by each form and they will be hung up for our Graduation Mass). We had to paint in the room next to the art room because the year 10 were making pinatas for Mercy Day. So after recess we had to move the banners back into the art room to continue working on them while they were still wet, as well as moving all the paint, brushes and newspaper. Catherine and I fixed the design completely (Mr G designed it and we didn't really like it but we were still "forced" to paint it because no one else could or would), filling the whole banner with colour and not just the right side and the bottom which was it originally designed to be. When I finished painting, I had the biggest sigh of relief! We really didn't enjoy painting it. The thing I really liked that I did is that the person that was laying on ground (the design is that there is a person helping a misfortunate person off the ground) changed to be a woman and not just a male dominating painting. I'm not saying that women are misfortunate or they need to be helped by men, it is just it looked better as a woman :D.

So after I finished painting, I went off to have a well deserved lunch. The quadrangle was basically empty as everyone had gone off to watch the Student vs Teacher football match. I got to my lunch area to see Diem and Chantelle on the bench, wanting to play 13, so we did. At the end of lunch, everybody who had gone to see the football match came back soaking wet and saying that the students won (the students haven't won in five years).

Today I heard Matthew speak Afrikaans for the first time today. A very interesting language.

When I got home, I watched Schindler's List. I also drew a pendant I saw on the Crystal Reflections website for my art homework. And for the last hour, I have been waiting for Stephen to stop playing DotA...

Signing off.
